Duties:
1. Provide information and referral services to eligible clients in person, by phone or email communications;
2. Plan and organize group sessions so as to familiarize the new immigrants with available resources in the community and to enhance their adjustment in the Canadian society;
3. Provide case management, individual counselling and formulate Integration Plans for clients;
4. Facilitate access by providing link between clients with specific settlement needs to available resources in the community, social services, professional services and government programs;
5. Facilitate clients’ access to Resource Centre;
6. Assist in maintaining information manual in the Resource Centre by supplying up-to-date information regarding different social services;
7. Assist in preparing and updating the Welcome Kit with information of different provinces;
8. Conduct orientation to immigrant clients to understand their needs;
9. Promote and market the program to suitable contacts within the business, community, non-profit and public sector;
10. Participate in staff meetings for the purpose of sharing information and coordinating activities, improving efficiencies and effectiveness;
11. Maintain and prepare current and accurate statistics and records in order to assist the Project Manager in meeting CIC’s requirements in program monitoring, planning and budgeting;
12. Other related duties as needed.
