在台灣大家都稱業務員為sales
我也不知道為什麼
因為大家都這麼說
那到底正確的說法是啥呢

seller是賣方(賣家),但是售貨員通常本身不是賣方,只是做販售的動作

售貨員是  sales  clerk  所以有可能是縮減後的講法^^

忘了說..sales  本身可以是n.,也可以是adj.喔

"sales"  is  short  for  a  sales  clerk,  sales  representative,  or  sales  person  (售貨員).

恩，美國人沒有這樣用耶
不知道是誰發明的
就算是名詞，這樣縮也太奇怪了

我覺得有時候台灣人學英文太注重小細節和文法

我並沒有否認文法的重要性  相反的有文法會讓句子的意境表達的更明確

但是有時候這樣子反而會阻礙自已的進步

記得有一次參加某活動是和外國的表演團體一起

就是簡單講一些那裡吃及集合時間地點上的簡單英文

我的英文還好可以溝通而已

但同行的一位女性朋友卻會一再挑剔我的講話文法還有我的發音  什麼要發z的音我卻發s的音等等~    說得頭頭是道  但是面對外國人  一個句子都說不出來  只能用單字溝通  她還是外語系畢的! 

比如說較口語來說  可能大家都會說  take  a  break  ~可是他會說  have  a  rest  ~  我們會說  be  quiet  or  shut  up可是他會說  keep  silent  ~  其實都對~  但是他會覺得別人的不對…

有點離題了  我只是想說有許多東西就像俚語一樣  大家用習慣了  也許不合文法  但是大家講了就懂  就像風俗一樣無法追究原因~

我倒覺得  take  a  break  和  be  quiet  聽起來比較順

anyway,  有的詞只是台灣人的慣用語啦  外國人是不一定這樣用的

就像laptop  為什麼台灣人一定要叫notebook...(?)

其實一開始這問題是我男友提出來的（他看不懂中文）
他就問我說在賣啥...

隨便縮寫，這也不是細節或文法，感覺像用錯字

恩，notebook  其實也還好，至少美國人聽的懂（蘋果的ibook不也這樣來的？）

我是覺得很少聽過  "over"    (eg.他好over)
在台灣一天可以聽過好幾次  "over"
好像在台灣學ㄌ新單字一樣
(我總覺得講  too  much比較恰當)
或是英式講法所以我不懂ㄇ

No  no  no!  It`s  not  a  sarcasm  though  named  by  native  speakers.  Singlish  and  Hinglish  are  formal  linguistic  terms.

The  movie  was  called  Spanglish,  not  Spanlish.
Doesn`t  "Spanglish"  sound  like  another  language  we  should  study  for  or  something?

Btw,  wuz  ur  comment  on  the  word  "over"?  It  is  so  widely  used  in  Taiwan  everyday  that  it  arose  my  interest.  But  I  didn`t  understand  what  it  meant  when  I  first  heard  the  word.

My  comment  on  "over"?  It  has  many  different  usages.  It  depends  on  what  u  heard...^^

第一次可能是看綜藝結目時ㄅ
很好看....不知哪裡忽然聽到".....OVER....."
心理愣ㄌ一下:  啥米over
但現在慢慢習慣嚕  ^^

但還是很驚訝在台灣一天可以聽到"over"ㄉ次數
覺得大家ㄉ用法和次數也會不會太overㄌㄚ?
(忽然發現自己在這篇話題發表ㄌ很多意見  不知網友們會不會覺得Snowy  mMrch太overㄌ)

Many  Taiwanese  people  say  "too  over"  to  mean  "you`ve  gone  too  far",  my  quess^^..in  ur  case...

I  think  that`s  because  they`re  constrained  by  one  of  the  translated  meanings  of  "over"

實際是指二種不同的東西
不知這樣解釋對不對...
