Along gray line "L train" is a hip area right now. There is a new area where many young artist live. Especually along the area at the first 2 stops in Brooklyn, Bedford and Lorimer. The trains are usually very clean and are newest model. When you are in the train you can see people looks diferent: young, cooler and with individual styles.
Actually right now if any of my friends are looking for apartment they would consider this area as one of good locations too. And the rent around this area is getting higher, almost about the rent in Manhattan.
But actually, for me i am not really sure what area your stop is. I only ever been to Lorimer station the farest.
