Conclusions
Experience  to-date  from  wind  energy  development  in  Greece  has  shown  both
the  signi®cant  potential  for  further  exploitation  as  well  as  several  important  issues
and  problems  to  deal  with,  the  main  points  of  which  are  summarised  below.
The  L.2244/94  in  conjunction  with  the  investment  subsidies  established  a
favourable  environment  for  the  development  of  wind  energy  by  private  investors
