Roland  Mouret最新消息
ROLAND  MOURET  LICENSE  UP  FOR  SALE:  Sharai  and  Andre  Meyers,  the  sole  owners  of  Roland  Mouret  Design  Ltd.,  have  put  the  license  to  produce  merchandise  under  the  Roland  Mouret  brand  name  up  for  sale.  The  company  said  in  a  statement  Friday  it  planned  to  sell  a  10-year  license  that  would  give  buyers  access  to  the  Roland  Mouret  archives  from  2002.  The  archive  comprises  all  548  of  Mouret`s  patterns  and  samples,  including  the  undistributed  fall  2006  collection  and  Mouret`s  iconic  dresses,  the  Galaxy  and  the  Titanium.  A  company  spokesman  declined  to  reveal  the  price  of  the  license,  which  also  includes  the  right  to  use  Mouret`s  name.  As  reported,  Mouret  parted  ways  with  his  backers  last  year,  following  irreconcilable  differences.  Since  then,  Mouret  has  declined  to  reveal  plans  for  his  future,  but  has  interviewed  at  fashion  houses  including  Chlo&eacute;  and  Ungaro.  Mouret  will  leave  the  company  in  mid-April.  Roland  Mouret  Design  Ltd.  said  it  would  continue  trading  to  oversee  the  proposed  licensing  deals  in  various  markets.(wwd)

"I`m  a  fourth-generation  tailor.  My  family  has  always  worked  for  the  military,  especially  the  navy  the  marines  and  the  army,  as  well  as  families  who  needed  bespoke  tailoring.  It  was  very  natural  for  me  to  follow  this  profession.

"At  the  Royal  College,  Maurizio  Gucci  came  to  my  final  show  and  basically  the  day  after  the  show,  offered  me  a  position  to  come  out  and  live  in  Florence.  Two  weeks  later  I  was  chauffeur  driven  from  the  airport  into  the  centre  of  Florence.

"Florence  is  a  fabulous  Tuscan  city.  It  really  was  a  dream  --  it  didn`t  take  me  long  to  say  yes.  I  stayed  five  years  with  Gucci."

"When  I  was  at  school  I  always  dreamed  of  working  for  either  Comme  des  Garcons  or  Prada.  The  only  problem  was  there  was  no  menswear  collection  for  Prada.  So  I  wrote  a  letter  to  Miuccia  Prada`s  husband,  Patrizio  Bertelli.  I  proposed  to  him  that  the  day  that  he  ever  thought  of  doing  a  menswear  collection  to  give  me  a  call.

"Eventually,  Bertelli  gave  me  a  call  a  year  and  a  half  later.  I  saw  him  and  he  said  he  wasn`t  ready  to  do  it  at  that  point.  So  I  waited  another  year  and  he  eventually  called  me  and  asked  me  to  start  the  next  day.  I  left  Gucci  and  started  my  dream  job  at  Prada.

"Starting  my  own  collection  seemed  like  a  challenge  and  at  30,  I  thought  it  would  be  an  amazing  thing  to  do  and  I  just  went  for  it.  I  tried  to  create  a  st

create  a  story  that  didn`t  exist.

"I  took  that  simplicity  of  that  minimalist  period  of  Prada  and  then  loaded  on  detail  to  that  balance  point  --where  it`s  not  over  done  or  underdone  --  but  a  perfect  balance  for  me  which  is  between  wearability  and  trend."

"This  is  my  favourite  furniture  store.  It`s  essentially  a  17th  Century  palace  which  has  taken  a  network  of  rooms  which  have  sort  of  grown  on  the  back  from  the  various  alley  ways  and  courtyards  in  the  back  of  the  building  forming  this  very  modern  space  where  they  set  almost  film  furniture  sets.

"I  love  the  courtyard  in  the  shop.  It`s  a  combination  of  the  of  old  Italy  and  the  modern  structure  to  show  the  furniture.  It`s  actually  outdoors  so  it`s  the  perfect  combination.  It`s  a  great  inspiration  for  all  designers  and  for  all  furniture  buffs.  There  are  so  many  different  styles  under  one  roof.

"You  have  the  modern,  you  have  the  old,  you  have  the  natural,  you  have  the  very  urban.  All  the  objects  within  the  space  are  very  minimal,  very  simplistic,  but  at  the  same  time  very  tactile  and  very  desirable."
