Lanvin

Alber  Elbaz  produced  a  solid,  aggressively  chic  Lanvin  collection,  centered  on  black  and  navy  with  highlights  of  ivory.  Having  brought  so  much  volume  (and  color)  to  fashion,  Mr.  Elbaz  was  more  of  a  mind  to  be  graphic,  linear  and  sexy.  That  meant  one-shoulder  silk  dresses  with  flat  bias  pleating  and  tight  pencil  skirts  softened  in  the  back  with  a  ruffled  seam.  Fur  pieces  draped  over  tops,  and  there  were  discreet  breaks  of  an  inch  or  two  in  some  of  the  seams.  It  was  a  simple  way  to  kill  the  fussiness  of  the  pleating.  (NYT)

What  Alaia  is  able  to  do  with  knitting  is  remarkable.  He  produces  ruffles  and  poodle  curls  that  look  like  lace.  The  skirt  of  one  outfit,  in  a  boiled  black  knit,  consisted  of  vertical  rows  of  overlapping  circles,  like  sugar  cookies  arranged  on  a  buffet  tray.  And  all  of  these  effects  are  a  technical  extension  of  recent  work,  like  the  pleated  caterpillar  dresses  worn  at  last  year’s  Costume  Institute  party  by  Stephanie  Seymour  and  Naomi  Campbell,  and  the  new  crinkled  cotton  shirt  dresses  for  spring  that  use  embroidery  anglaise.  (NYT)

Chloe又換總監了,這次是Hannah  MacGibbon,  曾和Phoebe  Philo合作多年.

Chloe  has  just  announced  that  Paulo  Melim  Andersson  has  stepped  down  as  creative  director  after  less  than  18  months  with  the  Paris  house.  Hannah  MacGibbon  will  take  over.  A  graduate  of  Central  Saint  Martins,  MacGibbon  worked  with  Phoebe  Philo  from  2001  to  2006.  Ralph  Toledano,  the  chief  executive  of  Chloe,  declined  to  comment  on  Andersson’s  departure.  A  former  assistant  at  Marni,  Andersson  had  a  difficult  time  capturing  the  spirit  and  energy  that  Philo  brought  to  Chloe,  or  providing  a  new  direction.

上飛碟看創意菱格紋

也許香港已經是妳去到不想再去的城市，但是三月起這裡有一個十分值得妳專程再飛一趟香港的好理由，因為Chanel推出的Mobile  Art流動藝術展正在中環天星碼頭的停車場等待妳的光臨。到底有什麼特別之處值得我們專程去一趟？

首先是這座看起來像極飛碟的建築體，這座由世界知名建築師Zaha  Haidid設計的流線造型展覽館其實是由300片玻璃纖維以及750組鋼樑等建材所組裝成的，搭建與拆卸需要80位經驗豐富的工程師隨時修正，更遑論運送建材時所需要的4架747客機和20個12呎貨櫃，出自名家設計以及如此浩大的工程，即使只是靜靜欣賞其外觀和設計便值回票價。再來，館內展覽了20位來自全球各地的知名藝術家，如台灣的林明弘、日本的荒木經惟等，以Chanel的經典菱格紋包為發想，創作出的繪畫、影片、攝影和裝置藝術等各類型作品，經典X創意，新舊藝術的激盪令人期待。

THE  BRIDE  OF  ELBAZ

DESPITE  being  busy  with  his  ready-to-wear  collections  for  Lanvin,  Alber  Elbaz  has  made  time  to  design  a  line  of  bridal  gowns  for  the  house  -  the  aptly  named  Collection  Blanche,  which  goes  on  display  exclusively  in  the  windows  of  Dover  Street  Market  this  morning.

A  bridal  collection  is  a  natural  progression  for  the  designer,  who  is  constantly  being  asked  to  create  bespoke  dresses  for  friends,  clients  and  colleagues  who  want  his  creative  touch  on  their  special  day.

However,  Collection  Blanche  is  a  little  tongue-in-cheek  -  instead  of  classic  styles,  the  Elbaz  bride  has  a  sense  of  humour.  While  the  materials  remain  decadent  silks,  washed  faille,  silk  tulle,  taffeta,  lace  and  chiffon,  the  collection  includes  a  kaftan  (for  the  bride  in  the  sun),  a  trench  (for  the  wife  on  the  go),  a  tulle  cardigan  (for  the  romantic)  and  many  other  styles  that  break  the  rules  of  conformity  for  a  bride  on  her  wedding  day.

Gianfranco  Ferre  will  announce  later  today  the  appointment  of  Tommaso  Aquilano  and  Roberto  Rimondi  as  its  new  designers.  Rimondi  and  Aquilano,  of  the  label  6267,  have  been  at  the  center  of  Ferre  speculation  for  the  past  month.  They’re  a  good  choice,  considering  their  background  in  tailoring,  and  of  course  their  own  designs  for  6267  and  Malo  have  been  generating  buzz  for  a  couple  of  seasons.  Living  in  Italy,  working  for  many  years  at  Max  Mara,  looking  closely  at  couture–it’s  fair  to  say  that  Rimondi  and  Aquilano  already  know  a  lot  about  Ferre  and,  possibly,  what  the  label  needs  to  be  contemporary.

COMME  DES  GARCONS  FOR  H&M

H&M  HAS  announced  its  next  designer  collaborator:    Comme  des  Garcons.

The  famously  avant-garde  Japanese  label,  spearheaded  by  design  powerhouse  Rei  Kawakubo,  will  provide  a  range  of  both  men`s  and  womenswear,  as  well  as  childrenswear,  accessories  and  a  new  unisex  fragrance  for  the  retailer.  In  honour  of  its  Japanese  roots,  the  collaborative  line  will  launch  exclusively  at  H&M  in  Tokyo  in  November  before  being  rolled  out  worldwide  a  few  days  later.

"I  have  always  been  interested  in  the  balance  between  creation  and  business,"  says  Kawakubo  of  the  collaboration.  "It  is  a  dilemma,  although  for  me  creation  has  always  been  the  first  priority.  It  is  a  fascinating  challenge  to  work  with  H&M  since  it  is  a  chance  to  take  the  dilemma  to  its  extreme,  and  try  to  solve  it."

"Rei  Kawakubo  has  been  on  the  top  of  our  wish  list  for  a  long  time  and  we  are  thrilled  that  she  has  chosen  to  collaborate  with  us,"  adds  H&M  creative  advisor  Margareta  van  den  Bosch.  "We  have  tremendous  respect  for  Kawakubo`s  fashion  philosophy  questioning  fashion`s  ingrained  patterns  and  we  admire  her  artistic  approach  to  design.  We  are  particularly  excited  to  launch  the  collection  in  Kawakubo  native  country  at  our  launch  in  Japan."

H&M`s  designer  collaborations  are  the  stuff  of  modern  legend  -  capsule  collections  for  the  brand  by  Stella  McCartney,  Karl  Lagerfeld,  Viktor  &  Rolf  and,  most  recently,  Roberto  Cavalli  have  proved  instant  sell-out  successes.

反常-克利斯瓊•拉夸  Christian  Lacroix

展覽日期：4.26~6.15,  台北當代藝術館

2007年,  克利斯瓊•拉夸的訂製服系列屆滿20周年，他邀請了時尚設計師大衛•杜布瓦及當代編舞家、時尚設計師克里斯汀．赫佐為他的20週年服裝展操刀，重新詮釋克利斯瓊•拉夸的成衣系列，營造出迥異於大家熟知的克利斯瓊風格的視覺型態。

首展應邀於法國諾埃爾莊園舉行的2007五月國際時尚與攝影藝術節中展出，獲得熱烈迴響。同年八月再度受邀至維也納舞蹈藝術節展出，結合劇場元素、音樂與時尚的精彩跨界合作，引發媒體的高度興趣，相關的報導持續不斷。

衍生的秩序:伊東豐雄

展覽日期：3.08~5.25  台北市立美術館

伊東豊雄(1941-)是近年來頗受國際矚目的日本建築師，2001年完成的「仙台媒體中心」被譽為新世紀建築的代表作，隨即在世界建築界掀起「伊東風潮」，2002年獲頒威尼斯建築雙年展的金獅獎。

伊東與台灣的建築因緣始於高雄世運會主會場的設計案(2005年)，緊接著又在2005年的台中大都會歌劇院國際競圖中勝出，2007年更受邀設計臺灣大學社會科學院新館。可以設想在不久的未來，隨著伊東豊雄三個建築實體的完成，勢必為本地前衛建築的討論注入新的動能。各界對於這位國際級建築師即將在台灣實現的前衛建築，期待甚殷。

本館與伊東豊雄建築事務所共同主辦推出「伊東豊雄：衍生的秩序」，該展曾於2006至2007年間，在日本的東京、仙台、葉山三地巡迴展出，獲得相當大的迴響。這次來台展出為國際巡迴展的第一站，並將首度完整呈現台灣的三個設計案。此外，本展預計展出百餘件手稿、施工圖、圖像記錄以及影片，追溯伊東36年來從事建築創作的軌跡，堪稱伊東建築生涯的總覽。
