<br /> 屈原投江前吟了一首絕命詩。叫《懷沙》。屈原絕命詩《懷沙》什麼意思？指懷石自沉還是懷念長沙？西漢的東方朔在《七諫·沉江》里形容：“懷沙礫以自沉兮，不忍見君王之蔽壅。”司馬遷也認定懷沙是指即將懷石以自沉。《懷沙》是懷念長沙。汪瑗《楚辭集解》：“世傳屈原自投汩羅而死，汩羅在今長沙府。此雲懷沙者，蓋原遷至長沙，因土地之淚洳，草木之幽蔽，有感於情，而作此篇，故題之曰《懷沙》。懷者，感也。沙，指長沙。題《懷沙》雲者，尤《哀郢》之類也。”他認定“蓋東方朔誤解懷沙爲懷抱沙礫以自沉，而太史公又承其訛而莫正也”。汪瑗還猜測屈原寫《懷沙》的動機：“觀此篇之首四句，則因長沙卑濕，恐傷壽命而作也。<br /> <br /> 蔣驟“環沙”系指懷念長沙之說，穫得多數認可。薑亮夫教授《屈原賦校注》也認爲“蔣說大致可信；而以沙爲長沙，尤爲特見；定此篇寫作時期在涉江，哀鄙之後，悲回風，惜往日之前，亦允當不可易。此章言已雖放逐，不以窮困易其行；小人蔽賢，群起而攻之；擧世之人，無如我者，思古人而不得見，伏節死義而已！”
