a  lot  of  +  名詞  可翻譯為大量,很多...
a  lot  通常放句尾,用來修飾動詞,可翻譯為非常,很...

ex1.  I  have  a  lot  of  friends.  我有很多朋友
ex2.  I  like  this  friend  a  lot.  我很喜歡這個朋友

a  lot可以用very  much來替換
但是硬要把a  lot說是very的話,就有點不通了!   
小朋友可能會誤會用成  You  are  a  lot  cute.^^"
